Perhaps the biggest project we ever had was moving our corporate offices from Schenectady to Latham in 2009. CPI helped us from the ground up building our network and getting the servers in place. From the implementation to the endware, they were instrumental in providing us with a professional modern network.
We’ve gone from an environment where we were running as many as 20 physical servers to one with just three physical servers and the flexibility to create new servers on demand. Now, instead of ordering new physical servers, shipping them to our data center and configuring them, we can create a brand new server with just a few clicks of a mouse. That translates to tens of thousands of dollars in cost savings.
CPI has also helped us with disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Now we have an offsite backup data center where we can relocate our operations in the event of a disaster. Their people are very knowledgeable and always willing to see problems through to resolution. My account representative is always responsive. During our move, their people were in our offices all weekend long 12 hours a day, and one or two staff members were available at all times. When we encountered problems, they were quick to solve them. It ended up being a great success.
