Sunmark Federal Credit Union: “Perhaps the greatest benefit we receive from CPI is the depth of technical knowledge they have. They help us do a lot of the heavy lifting on the implementation of certain projects, especially difficult ones.

Perhaps the biggest project we ever had was moving our corporate offices from Schenectady to Latham in 2009. CPI helped us from the ground up building our network and getting the servers in place. From the implementation to the endware, they were instrumental in providing us with a professional modern network.

We’ve gone from an environment where we were running as many as 20 physical servers to one with just three physical servers and the flexibility to create new servers on demand. Now, instead of ordering new physical servers, shipping them to our data center and configuring them, we can create a brand new server with just a few clicks of a mouse. That translates to tens of thousands of dollars in cost savings.

CPI has also helped us with disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Now we have an offsite backup data center where we can relocate our operations in the event of a disaster. Their people are very knowledgeable and always willing to see problems through to resolution. My account representative is always responsive. During our move, their people were in our offices all weekend long 12 hours a day, and one or two staff members were available at all times. When we encountered problems, they were quick to solve them. It ended up being a great success.

Ed Herrington, Inc. “Before CPI we had five servers that were becoming obsolete and giving us problems with reliability and performance. Over 100 employees relied on those servers, but they were locking up all the time. CPI implemented a virtualization solution that replaced those servers with one set of hardware including redundancy for servers and providing additional redundancy by enabling us to back up our servers through remote locations. With our virtual setup, we can simply reboot our server using VMware regardless of what’s wrong with the operating system. This is extremely handy during daytime server lockup situations that may have taken an hour or more before. Now we can quickly resolve the problem no matter where we are.

From listening to our feedback to accommodating our wants and needs to planning and implementation, they performed exceptionally in everything they did. And when we did the conversion, the transition occurred without a hiccup so our end-users didn’t even know it had happened.”
